To say I’ve had a lot going on both professionally and personally lately would be an understatement.
Between growing my business, managing all the various social media, and adding new products and being a generally awesome MOH for my sister some things were bound to slip my mind.
But I didn’t imagine it would be something this big-I realized that I totally forgot to tell everyone that The Giving Bride will be participating in a lingerie and swimwear fashion show!
If you live in the Chicago/Greyslake area you can purchase tickets here. Proceeds from the tickets will support a local women’s shelter so obviously this is something near and dear to my heart (for those of you who don’t know I interned and volunteered at a women’s shelter for two years in college).
I hope to see some of you there!

Weekly Update
Well, I’ve been absolutely terrible with these lately haven’t I?
As I said earlier in the week, we were two (now just about one!) week out from my sister’s wedding. In addition to being her Maid of Honor and all that that entails I also designed her veil and bridesmaid accessories and may have a few other tricks up my sleeve…
If you follow us on facebook (and if you don’t you should) you saw that I posted about ordering some rhinestones. When those come in we’ll be able to update the website and then you’ll be able to customize out lingerie with some letters, phrases, or maybe a heart. Perfect gift for brides to be!
I’ve also been working on a few items to go with our lingerie to make more of a complete gift package-things like candles and a lingerie bag that I am literally working on right now. Well, not right now, because I’m typing but you know.
And I’m prepping for an upcoming fashion show…
Lots of balls in the air as usual but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Made a special delivery of The Giving Bride promotional candles today. I think these turned out pretty cute, there’s a good chance that I’ll be putting them in a basket as part of a larger bridal package!

Well, basically, this is a timeline of my evening.
I decided to make a higher waisted more pinup inspired panty because so much of what I have now is low waisted and I thought it was time for a little differentiation in the line.
The sizing isn’t perfect because the dress form is smaller than my sample size. It fit well on me, but you’ll have to trust me on that because you won’t be getting a picture.
